Genesis from Radan has been developed following an extensive survey within the sheet metal industry.
Genesis will fulfill the requirement of customers who are looking for a CAM biased product whilst giving essential CAD functionality. It provides the traditional Radan CAM functionality for a small investment, and ensures ease of implementation, helping you resolve production problems quickly and efficiently.
Genesis is based on Radan’s established Windows CAD/CAM system and will suit manufacturers requiring a high level of manufacturing capability and powerful communication with other CAD packages.
Genesis benefits from an easy to windows based interface.
Machine set-up, tooling lists, nest graphics, part identification and machine program are all automatically produced directly from the nest schedule.
Automatic program creation following input into the nest schedule.
The “bump” nesting module allows parts to be placed onto the sheet from a nesting schedule. Parts always jump to position nearest the cursor. Moving the cursor causes the part to track around the shape of parts already on the sheet until the desired position is selected.
The Data Translation Wizard automatically translates single or multiple DXF and DWG formats.

“Radan gives us flexibility to switch a job between laser and punch, or from punch to punch. Without it we'd have to use three pieces of software, and program online, meaning the machines would be unavailable for manufacring during that time.”
