Radan, the world’s most powerful sheet metal software, continues to go from strength to strength and has recruited three additional staff in the United States due to increased demand.

An Electronic Engineering graduate from the Western Institute of Technology and Higher Education, he has developed an extensive knowledge of CNC machinery and CAD/CAM systems such as Radan and other software from the Planit Group: Alphacam and Cabinet Vision. Previous roles have included service technician, sales engineer and product manager for the SCM Group in North America.
Helping to provide Radan’s renowned service to its growing customer base are Support Engineers Mike Brookman and Steve Bryant, working out of Forest Lake, MN.
Mike Brookman (right) has worked in manufacturing for many years and as an experienced Radan user knows the many benefits it can bring to sheet metal engineering.
Steve Bryant (below) brings drafting experience to the Radan team from his previous work programming an ESAB plasma/flame/scribe machine.
Radan US Sales and Services Director Doug Wood says: “This expansion of our team is vital, as demand for Radan has grown considerably this year due to additional sales channels including three new resellers, Ambo Technologies, MFG Tech, and Adaptive Technology Solutions. Also, Radan’s powerful new nester which was introduced in the 2010 R2 release takes it to the next level, with marked improvements in material utilization. Exciting new developments in the 2011 R1 release are likely to make Radan an even more tempting prospect for CNC machine users.”
These valuable additions to the team come after Radan was once again confirmed as the largest sheet metal software provider reviewed for CIMDdata’s comprehensive global report on the industry earlier this year. CIMdata also placed the Planit group overall, in the Number One spot for marketshare on the basis of industrial seats installed in 2009, and in second place for industrial seats shipped. And CIMdata forecast that Planit will retain both its Number One and Number Two spots in 2010.
“Everything we do is based around the accuracy that Radan gives us. Radan has the full flexibility to drive additional machines as the company grows, and is fully adaptable to meet our customers' needs. ”
