Multiple 3D file types

If you use files in multiple formats , your 3D CAD system doesn’t have a Plug-in to Radbend, or if you don’t usually use a 3D CAD system, you can still use Radbend.

Radbend has a 3D CAD import option that enables the most widely used 3D CAD formats to be imported into Radbend. Once imported the file is converted into a 3D Radbend model, whereby all the features and their bending properties are automatically detected and checked for feasibility. You will then be able to

• Select  which machine tool you wish to use
• Automatically select the appropriate tools to bend the material correctly
• Provide you with consequences of your tool set up - expected radius, press depth etc
• Automatically position finger stops against every valid face requiring fingerstops.
• Run a full 3D simulation of the process detecting and advising of any collisions and potential problems.
• Automatically generate complete shopfloor documentation, including setup sheets.

As all this is happening offline and within minutes, so your press brake is free to continue doing what it is does best, bending sheet metal!
